Text Box: I am even thankful for the tough words that have kept us on track.

Our November meeting is on Monday, November 9 at 11:30 at The Old Mill on Murphy Mill Road. Tara Holman, owner of Trading Places, LLC will be speaking. Please see additional information on page 4.

As part of our scholarship fund raising, Dothan ABWA is participating in the Belk Charity Sale on Saturday, November 7 from 6:00 am to 10:00 am. Tickets are $5.00 and available from any Dothan ABWA member. The ticket gives you $5.00 off any purchase during the special sale hours. This is a great sale, with many items that are rarely discounted on sale. It is a great opportunity to get started on your holiday shopping and contribute to a lot of great causes, including ABWA. If you need a ticket, contact me (d-794-5000, ext 8514, e-792-7925, rhhenslee@aol.com) and I will have someone get one (or more!) to you.

I wish each of you a blessed Thanksgiving season.

November. This month, as a nation, we set aside a day to give thanks. The economy has made this a difficult year for many people. It may have negatively affected some of you reading this, either directly, or indirectly through the circumstances of family and friends. Regardless of what we are currently facing, we have much for which to be thankful. We live in a nation where there is freedom and opportunity. Be thankful for the service men and women that are fighting to keep us free. Be thankful for the opportunities that are available and take advantage of them. Be thankful for family and friends.

As the holidays draw near there will be opportunity to give and serve. We all have something to offer. Do what you can.

As I reflect and give thanks, each of you comes to mind. I am thankful for your encouragement and support in my role as president of Dothan Circle City Chapter ABWA. I am thankful for your friendship and all that you have shared of yourselves.
